Checklists

Travel light, travel smart

Prepare a day early, check before you set out

Being ready, not missing essentials, and still travelling light, we created these checklists, after years of travelling in different situations. Hope it helps you pack just what is necessary. We have titled the sections, so that you can skip portions that don’t apply to you.

Maps?

Kids need some things too…

Except for infants and toddler, a bit grown up children can be occupied with a few meaningful things. Definitely not that ipad or android game or movie you may be thinking of!

  • Activity books, if you have any
  • Sketch book and some coloring/drawing kit – small one
  • Card games
  • Ball, Frisbee, Kite
  • Extra set of clothes, if you think required
  • A towel

Never know, you just might need these

  • Toilet paper roll
  • Flushable wipes (other wetwipes are not bio degradable)
  • Soap
  • Medicine for loose motions
  • Medicine for motion sickness, should you need one

Add a bit of luxury

  • spread, to lie down for a bit longer
  • a little blanket for the early morning ride
  • a pillow feels so comfortable in the vehicle
  • that little soft toy

Before you leave home, check the obvious…

  • All doors and windows closed?
  • Balcony clothes safe, will not fly away?
  • Taps closed? don’t want your neighbour to call you for a overflowing home!
  • Clothes iron off ? Very rarely, but it can happen!
  • Wi-Fi modem off? Unless your neighbour is hooked to it.

Do share your comments if you have found this list useful. Do you think it misses something? We would be happy to expand on this list, yet, only keep the essentials.
